The criteria used to grant the award – Apply for audition to receive this award.

The significance of the award in the field – All India Radio is a national organization which grades artistes
who apply. TOP RANK is the highest award given to any artiste.

The reputation of the organization or the panel granting the award – All India Radio is a Government of India entity. The panel evaluating the Audition consists of 4 senior members of the organization atleast one of whom will be a knowledgeable person in the field of music chosen to audition.
